Meet Jason Doorish
Licensed Professional Counselor & Owner of Doorish Counseling & Consultation Services, PLLC
Jason has been providing counseling services in Denton for eight years, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. Jason received his Master's in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University and is currently working on completing his Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University. Jason has worked in Denton-area higher education and non-profits providing substance abuse counseling, sexual health education, as well as mental health, addictions, and trauma counseling for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Jason has a passion for helping those who are struggling with mental illness and addictions, and will work with you to develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Jason has worked with many clients in his career, and is comfortable working with clients who come from all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, veterans, students, LGBT individuals, as well as those in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions. Jason offers counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and adults.

Jason currently lives in Denton with his wife and three dogs and enjoys playing music, reading, and spending time outdoors.
Certified Guide Dog, 2005-2018
Benny worked as a service animal since from 2007-2017, and passed away after a short illness in 2018. Benny graduated from Guide Dogs for the Blind's Oregon Campus in 2007, and provided visual assistance with navigation and mobility for Jason for the 10 years they worked together.
